At Earth Explore we believe there is magic in learning about the world, hands-on. We also know that understanding and caring for Planet Earth and its cultures is not just cool, but among the most important issues of this generation.
Since 1995, we've been taking young people and their teachers to spectacular places to make the kind of educational discoveries that can't be duplicated on a video screen, or in a traditional classroom. Our Adventures combine science, environmental studies, history and culture to provide an enriching, one of a kind learning experience. Our trips are fully accredited, are administered by the not for profit Earth Explore Foundation, and provide academic credit opportunities for both students and teachers.
How do we make the learning stick? We have fun...everywhere we go. On a given day our students might be watching icebergs crash into the sea in Alaska, walking the cobblestone streets of Pompeii in Italy, kayaking through California kelp beds in Monterey, rafting a Wyoming river, or hiking down into Kilauea Iki crater on the Big Island of Hawaii. The common thread in all we do is curiosity...asking questions, trying new things, probing the unexpected, and gaining insights about the world and how it works. The experience goes deep, engages all of the senses, and can spark new interests and new directions. The Earth Explore philosophy.

Our adventures also offer outstanding opportunities for educators to expand their classrooms, and their teaching, into the world. Through Earth Explore teachers can travel to rare and beautiful locations, share in their own students' exciting adventures, and watch them grow in incredible ways. They always bring new techniques, energy and enthusiasm back with them in the fall. Meet recent Earth Explore Teachers.
The outdoor classroom is full of life-changing opportunities for learning. When you add in the element of travel, some amazing things can happen. The growth and confidence gains that parents and teachers see are among the benefits of participation in Earth Explore.
I invite you to take some time and look around this site. If you have questions, drop us an Email or phone call. Any of our staff would love to tell you more about why we're passionate about getting kids learning in the outdoor classroom.
