  Join us for an unforgettable adventure in the mythical land of Pele.  The Big Island is a wonderland of science and cultural discovery.  Hosted by the University of Hawaii, our students step out of the ordinary to encounter a land of legend and mystery regular visitors rarely see.  We hike through lava fields at Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, paddle into the surf in an authentic outrigger canoe, snorkel protected coral reefs, and visit with native Hawaiians.  This active adventure is an amazing "insiders" look at the best that the Islands have to offer.

  Hike through a lava tube and observe ongoing eruptions with experts at Kilauea, the world's most active volcano
Explore lush tropical rainforest, hike to a 400 foot waterfall, and see birds and plants found nowhere else in the world
