With Earth Explore It's Simple
We make sure that everything is provided and every travel detail is arranged for you and your group. You go along as a chaperone, to take part in amazing activities, and to learn right along with your students. Through Earth Explore you can earn graduate credits which help in professional advancement. You even have the option to travel with a colleague, or best friend. School Visits - We do the Meeting
After registering as a leader, you can request a school visit. This is an opportunity to have an Earth Explore staff member and program expert visit your school to conduct a complete and enjoyable presentation on the trip of your choice for your interested students and parents. The Next Step
Following registration, our staff will assist you every step of the way. We provide an extensive Leader Outreach Kit which includes brochures, handouts, classroom posters, DVDs, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials that make forming your own group stress free. We also provide complete and ready to use pre-departure materials, as well as all guiding, educational and financial services for your group. You relax and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Earth Explore is about connecting young people to Planet Earth through experiential discovery. We call it the Earth Explore experience. We encourage students to probe, ask questions, and learn things for themselves. Parents find the benefits of participation touch many parts of their students' lives. As a teacher, your leadership will not only benefit your students, but you will bring new energy and teaching techniques back to your school.
Incentives for Teachers
Earth Explore appreciates the efforts of teachers in sharing our life-changing educational adventures with students across the country. That's why with Earth Explore you travel free with just 8 of your students, and you earn additional free spaces, or a cash honorarium, for additional enrollments. Our incentives are the most generous in the educational travel field, and acknowledge the role of teachers in forming their own groups, and preparing their students for the travel Adventure of their lives.
Resources for Teachers
Extensive resources, from DVD video and PowerPoint presentations, to printed materials, posters, flyers, brochures and an instructional CD are available to teachers who participate as Earth Explore Leaders. Teachers are also provided a custom webpage for their group, to make online communication easy. Timelines for Application
Due to the educational quality of our programs, and the capacity of our partners, leadership positions on our Adventure programs are usually filled in the fall and winter. After that, leadership applications are accepted for the following year's programs. It is important to apply as early as possible to insure placement on the Adventure of your choice.
