A World of Learning Opportunities
Hundreds of teachers have found that participating in an Earth Explore Adventure offers unsurpassed learning opportunities not found in the traditional classroom.Testimonials Teachers can earn continuing education credit, expand their classrooms into the world, and bring new energy and teaching techniques back into their classrooms in the fall. Our programs are administered through the not for profit 501 (c) (3) Earth Explore Foundation, whose mission is to enhance the connection young people have with nature. Our inter-disciplinary adventures provide students with academic credit opportunities both at the high school and college levels, and compliment your schools' own standards-based environmental education and outdoor education goals.
Your involvement
Increasing your own and your students' understanding of the natural world is a key part of the Earth Explore experience. There are many ways for your school to become involved in an Earth Explore program. The most popular option is for one or more teachers to register as Earth Explore Leaders, who enroll and chaperone a group of students to one of our exciting destinations. You might also consider a complete school program, in which your school or district forms its very own Earth Explore group, composed entirely of your own students and teachers. The Earth Explore Foundation offers an educational honorarium program to recognize the commitment of participating schools to the outdoor education needs of their student community. Peace of Mind for Administrators and Parents
With Earth Explore, teacher chaperones always come from the same schools as the students, insuring peace of mind for parents. In addition, as a non-school-sponsored program, all travel details, structured lesson plans and program logistics are organized and provided by Earth Explore, eliminating the need for your school to provide any paperwork or other support. All current-year teacher chaperones are covered under Earth Explore's commercial liability policy coverage, insuring stress-free participation.
Schools have the peace of mind in knowing all of these details are taken care of, and that parent questions and other communication comes through Earth Explore, and not your school's office.
Team Based Support
Earth Explore provides an Education Coordinator, Logistics Manager and onsite Travel Manager. This means that every step of the way you are assisted by professional, highly competent travel experts, with years of educational and logistics experience.
