| We believe exciting and diverse experiences make learning come alive. That's why we design every Earth Explore Adventure to actively engage both the teacher and her student. We explore the jungle environments, wildlife and cultural diversity of Costa Rica, the volcanos, reefs and Polynesian cultures of Hawaii, the glaciers and Inuit cultures of Alaska, and the wildlife, geology and Western history of the Rockies.. | ![]() |

The 501 (c)(3) Earth Explore Foundation
Only an Earth Explore Adventure gives you and your students the global reach of the not for profit Earth Explore Foundation. As a federally-recognized educational organization, the Foundation oversees all of our trips and educational planning, and allows us to partner with the world's best on-site outdoor education partners. These organizations include the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Costa Rica Expeditions, the Sea Turtle Conservancy, Alaska Geographic, the Yellowstone Association, and many others. Foundation involvement also means that we can offer our students as well as teachers academic and professional development credit opportunities on every program.

Students and the future
Young people need the knowledge and skills to succeed. At Earth Explore we believe its vitally important that students have opportunities to explore science and cultural learning in the outdoor classroom, and in so doing, to gain a real-world understanding of not only how the world works, but also what their own impact can be.
Through our programs of fun, hands-on learning, students make important gains in self confidence, responsiblity and leadership. They also come away with an enhanced appreciation of our planet, including it's complex natural systems, and diverse human cultures. These are critical tools that will not only help them navigate a complex world, but become confident and informed leaders.
Earth Explore enables connections
As a teacher you know that experiential learning is a valuable tool that helps students to understand the world around them, and make sense of complex systems. Seeing your students make these connections, is a rewarding part of your Earth Explore program.
But our trips make possible other important connections as well. Our teachers learn, share ideas, and make enduring friendships with colleagues with whom they participate. The bonding that takes place, among both students and teachers, is a big part of the Earth Explore experience. Read teacher impressions of the program here.
Take something away
On an Earth Explore Adventure, part of what you take away is intangible. Memories, laughs, and personal growth. But there are plenty of tangible rewards as well. Our teachers can earn graduate level credit as part of their participation, which can be a valuable aid to professional advancement. They also take with them invaluable teaching techniques, field experience, and materials that help to make their own brick and mortar classrooms spring to life.
