Earth Explore Adventures. Student Testimonial.

Since 1995, Earth Explore has provided students and teachers with memorable, life-changing opportunities for global learning and adventure.  As a fully accredited travel program, our trips are overseen by the not for profit Earth Explore Foundation. We are fortunate to partner with some of the world's finest on-site educational organizations, and to offer academic credit options to all participating students.

"This was her first solo trip.  What a great experience!  We loved the program and were delighted with the organization of the entire trip.  It far exceeded our expectations!" Carrie/Chris Pino (parents of Amy)

We're proud that each year, more than 95 percent of our parents and students say they'd recommend us to their friends.   We encourage you to contact us directly by phone or email, and if you would like, ask to speak to some of our thousands of alumni students, teachers and parents.  They're the ones who know us best!

We mix adventure, with a solid educational focus

Tortuga Lodge, Costa Rica, Earth ExploreEarth Explore programs are overseen by a federally recognized 501 (c)(3) educational organization, the Earth Explore Foundation.  This sets us apart.  As a not for profit public benefit organization, the Foundation's role insures that the educational needs of students and their teacher chaperones are always put first.  Foundation involvement at every level means Earth Explore programs adhere to the most rigorous academic guidelines, that we can work with the world's finest partner organizations, and that our students receive the highest quality, most enriching experiences.

Our trips offer students not only excitement, but the opportunity to pursue academic credit, at both the high school and college levels.   This very tangible benefit carries forward into the future.  Earth Explore holds membership in the North American Association for Environmental Education, the California Science Teachers Association, and many other national and regional educational organizations.

Leadership

Our Directors, Karl Van Amburg and Michon Sardella, have five decades of combined experience creating extraordinary learning opportunities for young people.  Their backgrounds encompass the fields of science, outdoor and cultural education, and each has traveled extensively with students, both domestically and overseas.

Together with Earth Explore's programming and operational staff, they have trained and provided guidance to hundreds of teachers and travel managers who have participated in Earth Explore programs.  They share a passion for hands-on learning that combines solid educational content with exciting adventure; the kind that gets young people fired up, and gives them the skills to succeed.  Both serve as board members of the not for profit Earth Explore Foundation, and help to insure that the Foundation's mission of empowering young people is reflected in everything that happens on Earth Explore programs.
