A unique opportunity for your school

Beginning in 2008 , the not for profit Earth Explore Foundation instituted a unique school honorarium program.  The program is designed to recognize the contributions of schools and teachers who provide opportunities for experiential outdoor education to their own student communities.

Schools who participate in the Earth Explore Adventure program with at least 25 student participants are eligible to receive a $1000 honorarium from the Foundation for use in educational enrichment activities on their campus.  This educational honorarium is provided in addition to fully funded travel for accompanying teacher chaperones.

The honorarium complements the mission of the Earth Explore Foundation, to support programs and institutions that provide enriching, educational outdoor experiences for students in grades 6 through 9.

By encouraging hands-on exploration of Planet Earth, the Foundation's Adventures provide an interdisciplinary approach that combines science, environmental studies, history and cultural interaction.  All of Earth Explore's programs are aligned with National Educational Standards.

For more information about the Foundation's school honorarium program, contact Earth Explore toll free at 877.224.3623, or email to Karl Van Amburg, Foundation National Director, at karl@earthexplore.com.
